Pennsylvania

This kitchen, designed for a project with Kennedy-Grant Architecture, features materials and details that would most likely have been found in a old stone farmhouse in Pennsylvania Dutch country. The cabinets are painted with an authentic colonial color found on antique chests and furniture. The island countertop is wood – mahogany – like an old kitchen worktable. The backsplash is painted wood bead-board with a mahogany splash-board. The client wanted a large TV facing the seating area in the kitchen – but didn’t want it to see it in the kitchen. It’s hidden in the end of the island.
